Troekah is a schooling and education brand that came into being from a little desire of building a learning environment that honors diversity. We know that every child is unique, but what are we doing to honor this uniqueness? At Troekah, we use new-found methods to engage our children, parents and teachers in a collaborative teaching-learning pattern. As an educational institution shouldered by some pioneers of education in India, we believe that children learn in a relational manner and need variety in their learning spaces. Therefore our classrooms are designed with extreme care to ensure that each child feels encouraged on their learning journey.​

Mr. Mukund Purohit, a successful Indo - Canadian Entrepreneur, is the Chairman and Managing Director of Neapolitan Pizza Limited..

 

  • Mr. Purohit works towards developing bilateral relationship between India and Canada. He is the person instrumental for the participation and attendance of the Canadian Business Delegation and Delegation of Canadian Politicians in the "Vibrant Gujarat" Investor's summit. The participation commenced in January 2009 and continues till date. 

  • Mr. Purohit is also the Director at Vcare Project Management Consultant Inc., Canada, 

 

Mr. Purohit also serves as: 

 

  • Director - Panorama India. Panorama India was established with the support of Consulate General of India as a non-profit umbrella organization with a goal to help unite all Indo-Canadian cultural associations and groups in GTA , Toronto,

  • As a Social Activist, Mr. Purohit supports and raises funds for the Kanya Kelvin Yojana - a literacy campaign for young girls deprived of basic education in Gujarat, India

There are 8 learning styles which act as useful tools in helping us implement our teaching-learning programs:

 

1. Visual Learner 

The Visual Learner (also called the Spatial Learner) learns best if there are visuals aids to direct the learning process. They prefer visually presented information. The Visual Learner prefers movies over books. The learning process can fun by including images, maps, graphs, tables, charts, pictures and photographs and having text with images and by using multi-coloured highlighters. Visual Learners grow up to become technically-oriented and enter engineering fields. They may grow up to be great artists or architects.

 

2. Auditory Learner

The Auditory Learner (also called the Aural Learner) is the one who reacts happily to speech and sound and is able to remember more when he listens to information. This learner benefits a lot from lessons that involve listening, speaking and talking out loud. When reading, it often helps him/her to do it aloud. The Auditory Learner learns best while humming, whistling, toe-tapping, tapping their pencil on desk, wiggling or listening to music in the background. Some Auditory Learners also think better with background noise, they think best when they hum, whistle or bounce a ball off the wall or make some other noise or move while thinking. The Auditory Learner is skilled at oral presentation or debates. Auditory Learner learns easily by creating patterns or rhythms. Rhymes spoken out loud and audiobooks can augment the learning of such learners. Their learning can be made easier and fun by converting the study material into jingles or melodies. Auditory learners may grow up to be fantastic musicians.

 

3. Verbal Learner

The Verbal Learner (also called the Linguistic Learner)enjoys making use of language itself. The Verbal Learner has a fascination for words and possesses a rich vocabulary. Such people are passionate readers or writers. They tend to flourish in reading and writing activities. Enjoy reading, whether it’s to themselves or to others and are excellent story tellers.  The Verbal Learner enjoys games that involve word play such as Scrabble, Boggle and Crossword Puzzles. They Enjoy talking about what they read, and easily remember quotes, puns and rhymes. They are very good in explaining the most complicated concepts. They are often gifted at learning new languages. Group discussion, role-plays, assigning topics for class presentation can promote their learning. Verbal learners tend to become excellent writers, lawyers and teachers, psychologist or speech pathologists. 

 

4. Kinesthetic Learner 

The Kinesthetic Learner (also called the Tactile Learner) learns by engaging physical activities rather than concentrating on a lecture or watching a demonstration. The learner gets a ‘hands-on’ experience of whatever is being learnt. The Kinesthetic Learner enjoys ‘learning-by-doing’ and engages in full body movement. These learners understand best by real life examples. They have high energy levels and good physical control and coordination. The Kinesthetic Learner can learn better by performing whatever they have learnt.  Mind mapping, story mapping, webbing, drawing, role play, clay, field trips, building and mathematics manipulatives can be used for these learners. Some of the methods for this learner type are activities that involve acting and dancing, puzzles or other physical objects that allow them to draw as an activity exercises will make them get up from the seats. Kinesthetics Learners grow up to be actors, sculptors and dancers.

 

5. Logical Learners 

A Logical Learner (also called the Rational Learner) enjoys exercising the mind and applying mathematical and logical reasoning to solve problems. Such learners are usually methodical and think in linear order. They enjoy working with numbers and have an ability to solve a complicated problems. They look for pattern, connections, reasons and result. They are very investigative and curious hence they have a tendency to keep asking ‘Why’. They enjoy playing strategy-based games. They prefer visuals over words and are highly goal oriented. They enjoy brain teasing exercises like Sudoku and Chess in their free time. The Logical Learners may grow up to be engineers, scientists, mathematicians and other technical professionals. 

 

6. Interpersonal Learner 

The Interpersonal Learner (also called the Social Learner) learns better through relating with others. This learner is more involved more in group activities and peer interactions. The Interpersonal Learner prefers educational lessons that involve participation with others. The learner performs well in group projects, team work, role-play etc. and shares idea with others. The Interpersonal Learner is good in co-curricular activities and in resolving conflicts. The learner gets along with everybody and has many friends. Interpersonal Learners may grow to be good leaders, team players, psychologists, therapists and counselors. 

 

7. Intrapersonal Learner

The Intrapersonal Learner (also called the Solitary Learner) thrives best when alone. The learner has individual goals that are challenging. These learners generally appear introvert as they enjoy and learn on their own. They are independent and enjoy a quite environment. They are motivated more by internal forces rather than external forces. The Intrapersonal Learner has great imagination and may day-dreams a lot. The Intrapersonal Learners grow to become philosophers, writers, entrepreneurs and business owners.    

 

8. Naturalistic Learner

The Naturalistic Learner also called the Veristic Learner) does best with Mother Nature. The learner is more tuned with nature and loves to explore it. The Naturalistic Learner is highly interested in and aware of surroundings. They are comfortable in a peaceful environment.  They are highly aware of the environment and respond to its variance. A Naturalistic Learner has the ability to make unique distinction in the world around for the learner enjoys opportunities to learn about living things like plants, animals and other natural events such as weather or geology. These leaners love outdoor activities. They learn more quickly where they are allowed to feel things. They love to explore nature, learn about environment, like to discover more about the natural world around. Their favourite subject can be Science. They concentrate more when the classes are taken outside. Naturalistic Learners are most likely to become botanists, biologists and conversationalists.

Sania Ayushi is a committed Educator. She completed her schooling from a renowned institution where she was lauded for excellent academic achievements by none other than the-then Education Minister- Government of India, Ms. Smriti Irani.

 

Sania graduated with a degree from India and moved on to New Zealand for her further studies. Offshore, she acquired the Early Childhood Education Diploma- a rigorous course that renders the scholar the vigor to handle the fundamental challenges of education. Thereafter, she took a plunge into the actual task of teaching in schools in New Zealand.

 

Sania also pursued her passion of Writing and gave herself an exposure in the various genres from blogs to focused content. During the period, she also developed herself into a Content Designer while the Educator in Sania always stood atop and deep within.

 

So, here we have an EDUCATOR, WRITER, CONTENT DESIGNER, PODCASTER and an INNOVATOR of sorts. Her passion for education in the early years has led her to her own platform called Taught for the Day, where she shares insightful posts for parents, teachers as well as caregivers. 

 

Sania holds a Bachelor's Degree in English (Honors) and a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching. She is a fully registered teacher and has a teaching license from New Zealand and the United Kingdom. An ardent practitioner of the Reggio Emilia Philosophy, Sania believes that education is best provided in variegated learning environments like free play and all that encompasses the reality of freedom of exploration, exposition and expression in a safe cohort with the sanctity enshrined in the learner.

 

She is keen to create awareness around child mental health and talks about the relevance of the early years and the connection they hold in the manifestation of later life experiences and understandings. 

 

Sania aims to take forward her knowledge about education both of the early years and the later stages by creating a much more informed education setup in India for children. 

 

Sania uses the social media to reach out to parents as well as teachers and support them on their respective journeys as role models to the future of the world.
